Pink Love 2020 Calls for Positive Bills to Pass

The Oklahoma legislative session begins the first week of February, and OCRJ is kicking it off with a call to pass this year's legislation with the most positive impact on health, families and justice. Join us for a series of events to ask lawmakers to vote yes on bills that would support maternal health, paid family leave, immigrant rights and justice for missing and murdered Indigenous women.

Through a series of events, we target committees where these great bills have landed, to help them over the first hurdle of the session. You may help us prepare messages for lawmakers or show up to the capitol for our press conference and lobby day.

Join us for Valentine making parties! We’re hosting two events to gather volunteers and prepare friendly messages about these positive bills. We provide paper, and all the valentine making material you need, as well as postcards for those who prefer not to craft.

On Thursday, February 13 from 8:45-10 am OCRJ will host the 5th annual #PinkLove Press Conference and Lobby Day to discuss the legislation with the press and with lawmakers. You may attend to be part of the discussion and deliver your message to legislators! We know each year we face several anti-choice bills and pieces of legislation that would make conditions for struggling families even harder. While we’re ready to fight those measures, we much prefer to move on positive measures that would have wonderful impacts on Oklahomans! So we are setting the stage for this year’s legislative session by talking about bills we LOVE!
